Year of the Cat or Cat bite, which?
Well I've been holding out on you guys. For the past couple of months I've been playing with an '88 Hess and Eisenhardt convertible. This makes the second Jag we've ever owned. It's definitely the year of the Cat, two since April. I have to say I'm enjoying both of them. The XJS responds to everything that has been done to it as far as maintenance or repairs goes and just gets better and better. The 99XJR has it all over the 88XJS as far as power, performance and handling goes but for some reason I have to say I like the feel of the XJS V12 car better. I guess I really am suffering from Cat bite as I really like these cars. I have found the V12 is not what many people complain it to be. You only have to know it, how to treat it and how to permanently solve some of the so-called major flaws. I find it a rather rewarding engine to work on, although it is more labor intensive. I've was told to stay away from the 12's. Oh well, didn't stop me yet. I might just sell the XJR and find myself a good XJ12. Definitely bitten!

Welcome, I was told same things about V12 engines too . I think that's one of the reasons besides fuel consumption I denied a '97 V12 and bought my first ever fave Jag ('93 XJ40)
I think V12 engines are not as efficient as supercharged engines in performance wise yet fuel consumption , still I find those engines as my fave , V12 what a cool name
