Yeah those are very common rust areas on the old Ford Trucks. As old as it is, it's not as bad as a lot I've seen. In Illinois just south of Chicago they use a ton of salt in the winters and I've literally seen the doors with hinges break off/ rust off, and the whole frickin door fall off onto the ground. So it's good there was enough left to repair. LOL! Keep up the good work it just sucks that it's so time consuming.
