Hehe you're totally addicted obviously Busa and 3/4 mad. Great stuff.
Yeah the bike above belongs to a mate of mine Mick (another crazy ex Pom).
It has a turbo Busa engine by S&R Pro in Sydney. It makes in the mid 300s for the street.
The frame was built from scratch by another mate Mario who's an aircraft engineer. I did some of the design work. It has onr off CF bodywork and runs ceramic brakes.
It's VERY light. It's mainly a street bike, obviously it would need bars for the dragstrip, it's just too light and short to work without. Mick is a stunt guy.
He needs to be...
Mario designs and builds stuff like this. All hand built.

Quaility engineering for certain. Love to see the use of CNC machined billet parts and C/F.
I've been riding from the age of 11 and I will be 57 this year.
I just like pushing the boundaries to see what I can achieve.
I think we are all slightly crazy to ride any fast bike on UK roads, knowing how bad they are.
But bulding a 500+ bhp street bike is tending more towards the mentally unhinged
He told me about his first attempt to break into the double ton. (This was a proper track and timing lights etc)
He was telling me in a calm and technical way how as soon as he hit 160mph he was winding in so much power that the rear wheel started spinning up all the way to just under 200mph. It was because of wheelspin with too much power that he couldn't crack the 200 barrier. Wind resistance on a naked bike is phenominal at anything over 100mph.
My next project is on its way. Not anywhere near as exciting as a SC Busa, but its quite special. I can't leave a bike standard.
Your Prilla is superb by the way ! Nice sound track with that, looking at the stumpy cans?

Yes cracking the 200mph barrier is a lot harder than most people believe. The right balance between weight distribution, power and aerodynamics is essential. To overcome the aerodynamics of a brick which most bike /rider combos compare to once at 170mph the power needed increases exponentially. It ain't easy at all.
Look forward to the posts of your project mate.
There's not enough of this madness around these days where having a bit of harmless fun on the roads can get stupidly expensive.
The Aprillia is suitable raucous, and well suited to the hills behind where I live.
I'm 63 going on 22 myself.

I used to ride out with a guy who had a tuned 888 and I was on a ZZR1100D. He made me work the gearbox to keep up with him.
Thank you, its all about the deep passion for bikes.

We have a young lady over here who not only broke through the 200mph barrier, but who also set the world record for fastest lady on a bike.
Becky (Angelpaws) Ellis. @ 248.5 mph
Becci Ellis: The fastest woman on Earth - MoreBikes
But Becky wasnt prepared to just sit back, no she wanted to smash the 250 mph barrier. So the following year she went even faster ! 264 mph !!
Brit mother Becci Ellis smashes land speed record by going 264mph on motorbike | Daily Mail Online
Just incredible. What a star !
If anyone has done 160 mph on 2 wheels, then imagine another 100 mph on top of that?
Then she crashed at 254 mph
But the good news is she wasnt too badly hurt and is back top speed racing again soon.

I've done a bit over 160 once, but have been 150 a number of times. The thing is I never keep high speed for very long...I start thinking about absolutely anything happening and the tragedy that would ensue, and decide something below 100 sounds better. But up to a half mile or mile, anything's good!

The Harley, '07 Street Bob "slightly modified" & the red & black GS1000 nostalgia drag bike are my only 2 bikes at the moment. The Suzuki is about to be "lumped" lol with a 1327cc Kawasaki GPZ engine.
The twin engined Kwaka is a project that my engine builder & i have been working on for a couple of years now & is almost ready to run. Note the race number on the Kwaka so guess who gets to ride it.
