love my jag xf, keeping that badboy for a long time. but this discussion is not on my jaguar, but a porsche and a corvette 08 model. uestions is i wanna sell my other car which is a 350z and buy a 05-06 911 carrera cabriolet. these cars for some reason are ridiculously over priced thats why im not buying an newer one cus its a waste of money but an 05-06 is perfect specially since there's not that much difference in the newer ones besides the 2012 ones. anybody here got opinions on it. the other one im interested is the c6 corvette 08 and 09 year. i know the prices are completely different but i think both cars are ok. im specifically asking on this site and not on a Porsche forum and corvette.i want biased and honest opinions.

Can't give you an unbiased opinion as I own an '07 997 C4S cab and have never owned a Corvette.
With that said the cars are very different and choosing between them is a matter of preference and not, in my mind, a matter of which is better/best. Both cars have a very loyal fan base for good reasons.
Regarding the 2 models year Porsches you are interested in I would lean torward the '06 over the '05 as the '05 was the first year for the 997's as such had a few gremlens that were fixed in the later year cars. Options are numerous but for a cab you'll want heated power seats and self dimming mirrors inside and out.
Rain sensing wipers are a nice feature but shouldn't be a deal braker. Nav and Sport Chrono are prefered options on all cars. Engines come in the base 325 HP and the " S " model which is rated at 355 HP. Cabs and Coupes can be had as AWD cars noted by the number "4" in their model designation.
Lot's of opinions as to which is best but I prefer the AWD for it's improved handling in all conditions. The C4's also come standard with the PASM suspension which offers a choice of dampening modes and is a significant improvement over the standard suspension. Lot's more to it but those are the basics. Great cars.

Hate to bring this back from the dead (1 month +) but id say have a seat in both cars and youll have the answer... Keep the nissan!!
Most porsche interiors i have ever been in are sub par at best. And all the corvettes i have been in are plastic and poorly finished.
Just cheap.
In the car is where youll be when enjoying it, so it better be nice, comfy, thoughtfully laid out and have a good solid feel to it. Just my thoughts, and yes i am sorry for any spelling/punctuation errors!

Ok, so I can't give an educated opinion in as far as I haven't owned /driven any of these vehicles, so let the flaming begin...lol
From what I've seen of them and heard of them and if it were me....
If I could afford it, I'd go for the Porsche
For seat of the pants and more basic thrills it'd be the Corvette
The Nissan would stay as a nice car and for reliability as previously stated.
