Rover
Rover sold with MG some really nice cars a few years ago. I´m in Mexico and they had a Rover 75 sedan that was gorgeous. I want to get one. I still see them around my city, but the dealer is gone and Rover appears to have gone out of business. Wikopedia says that a Chinese company has bought the factory and may be moving it to China.
Does anybody know where to get parts for a Rover 75 sedan? I think they were made around 2004.
What´s the status of Land Rover? I had heard that they were going to be sold in Jaguar dealerships.

My God, how uninformed people are sometimes !!
I have a Rover 75 here in England and have had it for 3 years. It is a 2.5 litre V6 Auto and I bought it secondhand at 43k and it is now on over 82K miles. I have taken it to Rome (twice), Switzerland, France, and Germany on holidays. I use it every day for work and domestic duties at weekends. It has been a joy to own so far, although to be fair, I had to have new rear springs, as one broke. I have also had new discs and pads as these wear out, and a rear exhaust box as the original looked a bit doggy, but was not actually leaking.
The V6 2.0 and 2.5 litre V7 engines were produced in the UK by MG Rover, it is not a Honda or anything else. Only the cam belts are an issue because there are three of them and they should be replaced every 90k miles or 6 years. I had mine done Jan 2009.
The diesels are the BMW engine as in the BMW 3 Series, but not tuned up so much, although this can be corrected by re-mapping the chip in the ECU.
The only engines that are problematic are the 1.8 litre 4s as these are notorious for blowing headgaskets. A new gasket design is now available and cures this problem. It's also used in the SAIC cars using the Rover engine design but built in China.
All parts are freely available from X-Part the UK supplier of MG Rover parts, many now made in China as they are identical to the SAIC car parts. Parts can be shipped round the world. Obviously there is no US supplier as the cars were never imported to the USA.

As above I have a 75 estate, great car, 1.8 turbo gives good performance once the head gasket has been replaced. Basically a reskined BMW 3 series and was used as a test bed by BMW to try new gadgets.
There is a V8 brute version as well. If any of you over the pond have one and need parts pm me and I will point you in the right direction
