Why do people driving Chrysler 300's think they're in a Bentley?

Guys, you do realise that the OP started this thread in 2009, and he hasn't been back on the forum since 2012?

You're basically yelling at clouds...

A friend of mine (lady in her seventies) drives an older Hyundai Sonata with a Jaguar bonnet leaper. She says it was on there when she bought the car used and she doesn't want it removed because then the mounting holes would have to be repaired. Can't argue with that logic! This old thread was originally about Chrysler 300's dressed to mimic Bentleys. I read through all the posts and am amazed nothing was ever said about the Chrysler Sebrings modified to resemble a Bentley Continental. It's actually a more convincing conversion, and might actually fool a few people. As for the Chrysler 300 in general, they are marketed over a very wide range, from stripped-down fleet models to very nice high-end models. My only experience with one was a 2006 Limited that my mother bought new. Nice enough car, but I once drove it on a 400 mile trip and found it to be considerably less comfortable than the 2004 Lincoln Town Car I owned at the same time. That experience may have been different if she'd had a 300C; I don't know.
