Bahrain - Anyone else here?

Another Jag owner in Bahrain
Been over a year since you posted this - but better late than never! Just picked up an S-Type basket case with an interesting history and trying to get it up and running. Where do you get your XK serviced since no one except the dealer seems to have the required diagnostic software and the know-how to use it ! I spent a pretty penny on the ex-Jaguar dealer here and they were so worthless that I should've just thrown that money into thin air .
Well, if you're still around these parts do hit me up. I'd love to hear war stories from a fellow (modern) classic Jag owner.

Yep still here in Bahrain with my 99 XK8 convertible. Live off the Budaiya HWY and just like you, have struggled to find a competent mechanic. Currently do a lot of the work myself as I’m good with a wrench and have a decent tooled up garage with an AC-Ed workshop. I have lots of different garages do individual thinks but mainly use Rovergate in Salmabad as Santosh let’s me have access to the car lift.
I’m on WhatsApp +973 37777816 so easier if you want to contact me. Lots of friends bring their old cars to my place to work on as I have all the tools. Would love to see your S-Type.
For parts I mainly go through British Parts in UK as they have full service kits for individual jobs.

Sorry. Nope - no-one in Saudi’s eastern provinces that I’m aware of.
I’m now based in Riyadh, and am looking to demobilize shortly back to UK.
I hope you’re good with a wrench and can fix the minor jobs yourself otherwise it’s going to get expensive to repair, that’s if you can find a competent mechanic. Good luck.
