There are a few garages who deal in Jaguar Services of good quality for eg. 4X Force Motors, Al Quoz and GT auto Centre Al Quoz.
I have had personal experiences of the first hand with both. They do good work but have a very high attitude. They both think that only they can do such works. *****. No one wants to explain what the charges are for. They just expect you to shell the amount out without questions.
To my surprise, and a pleasant one at that, Jaguar service at Al Tayer is the best. The charges charged by them were comparable to these high end garages. One thing that makes me look forward to getting things always done at Al Tayer is that they don't mind if you buy the parts from outside and give them only for Job Work. Perfect.
Exactly what you need. Parts I can source from outside and get the repairs done at the perfect facility that can be offered. With the technicians who day in and out deal with the car that I'm most worried about. And absolutely pleasurable way they talk and explain you everything. Parts from outside, labour from Jaguar. What else you need!
Moreover the charges like I mentioned is at par with high end garages.
Biggest benefit, your cat stays agency maintained.
Think over twice before going out to any arrogant high end mechs.

Last Jan they had the 30% discount promotion.. so I changed the light, roof and some minor stuff.. and did the "free" checkup (read 17kAED).. in which they forgot to check the brakes :S so a mere 2 months (and 4.000 kms) later, they claim the front brakes only have 2mm left.. So I complained and now have those at 30% discount too... (still a whooping 2100AED)
For tires even the sales rep referred me to another shop to avoid huge costs.. I had a puncture in the front one two weeks ago.. and replaced it with 2x Pirelli P Zero ('12) for only 850AED each.. (compared to 2500 for Michelin)

new to forum
Morning Dubai.
Am new to forum but have had Jaguars for many years.
Now driving a XJ 8 2005 and had it since new. Looking forward to sharing on the site. By the way, anyone successfully added Bluetooth into the built in phone system of the 350 series xj8 in Dubai. Any help appreciated...

I have been using Premier Motors in AD.....not seen or heard of any garage that I would trust with my car.
So far they have been ok, Prices are high but what do you expect from a dealer....
So far ... AED 5,000 for discs and pads all round.
replaced one suspension and from wishbones (i think thats what they were called) under warranty..had to pay AED 1,000 for bushes though.
Recently been told I need to replace the CATS.... AED 11,000 quoted, not done yet as would prefer to find an exhaust specialist....should be cheaper...
Does anyone know where I could get the CATS replaced in UAE....preferably AD but if need be Dubai....
Thanks

Hi,
For all looking for a reliable non agency repair shop... Here's my story.
I had busted my head gasket with a slow leak into the head and all the diagnosis at 4X Force Motors in Al Quoz was worth AED4500 of rubber hose replacements in the past 6 months. While all the time the message for Low Coolant kept coming back every 1500kms and then till recently every second day. Finally I went to Al Tayer where the final diagnosis was at a Head Gasket job worth 13000AED. That was it, I blew myself up but could do nothing. Finally I thought of selling the car for Scrap, but it is a beautiful clean car, so I managed to coerce a higher-up at the dealer who after seeing my state (I have always brought my car to Al Tayer for any service or Repairs) on the amount of money spent recently on a major service, decided to give me a reference for reliable repairs.
I thanked him a million times over, he was scared that he shared someones reference to me though, and I went over to see the place in Sharjah where my Jag would probably be repaired.
DAS Auto Services, it turned out to be a seasoned mech, with a whole wall full of certificates and honda specialist, who himself held 3 Jags with him personally. He has something for a Jag. Meeting him I explained that the head gasket needs replacement and then began a nice talk with him and his passion for Fancy Cars, Jags in particular.
Now 4000km after the repair, a clean job done well, and services still being done at Al Tayer, I am at peace knowing that any other job other than regular in the future can be handled by a competent person.
Highly recommended - Das Auto Service, Sharjah 050-5080445

For people not pleased with the price of parts available locally for Jag shop online Jaguar Parts | Land Rover & Range Rover Parts | British Parts UK - I have used them several times and they are far cheaper even when shipping is added.

Agree. They have done for me but reluctantly, told me it's a one time deal only sort of thing. This was for some O2 sensors. I got some from USA for $100 instead of AED 3,500 each from ATM.

Hello everyone,
New kid on the block here. Recently bought 04 XJ6 with 143K kms done. The machine runs well, though there are a few big and small issues that appear randomly. Found from Al Tayer that it was being services by them till 2011, after that the second owner just ripped it off without a good maintenance done on it. I took the risk and got the cat.
The powertrain seems to be good. The big issues at hand are
Air compression fault
Gearbox fault
Fuel empty
Above 3 appear only randomly, so this may indicate that these are not a permanent fault and could appear due to corrosion on connectors, or some sensor faults, or even the programming fault. Al Tayer did a basic free campaign check up, but did not give a clear picture of the issues and, somehow felt there are not interested in it because it was free. They just gave small list of visible issues (very minor and not important).
They are too expensive for a small thing too. Any idea which garage can prove to be the best professional ?
Thanks in advance to all.
