TPMS SEAL

TPMS SEAL
I took my 1995 Vanden Plas to a local tire shop to get a new tire. He gave me an all-inclusive price cost (tire , mounting, warranty, etc.) of $108. I asked how much the warranty was, and he said $20 dollars. I had gotten cheaper warranties elsewhere, but whatever. He explained to me what it covered and included and I was satisfied. I signed the paperwork, and they installed the tire.
Now, I've been suspect of this place in the past, feeling as though they have over quoted me on jobs as I am a woman. So when I got to work, I reviewed the quote. Lo and behold, the actual warranty was only $10 dollars, but they added a TPMS Reseal kit for $9.99. From what I've read, this kit is only necessary on vehicles around 2004 or newer. Does my car even have this technology since it's a 95? If the guy hadn't mislead me about the cost of the warranty, I wouldn't be suspect that he was trying to get one over, but I feel like he's trying to make an extra few bucks. He was the manager by the way. Was this a necessary expense?
