I have an XE-S that I'm modifying, but I'm keeping things as OEM as possible (e.g. LSD from an F-type, upgrading from Meridian to Meridian Surround) so it's more "up-speccing" than "modifying." I was thinking deep thoughts today and I started to wonder... what would the XE look like if Jaguar did it in an R or SVR spec themselves? I imagine about 2/3rds of the way from an S to a Project 8... probably has the same V8 as an F-type, LSD, bigger brakes, maybe a carbon roof to cut weight... what else? Active aero? Stronger gearbox? Racey-er seats?

I like my projects to have a direction and an end result rather than just blindly slapping parts on, and trying to up-spec to what could be seen as an XE SVR could be an interesting job. Does anyone know if someone has tried to create an XE R or SVR?
