A few random pictures
This is a 30 second exposure picture, pitch black off my deck. it doesn't mean much if you don't know how dark it was.
Hanauma bay, Oahu
Waikiki beach
My daughter pretending to be a bug on a screen door, Hawaii sunset
Pch, Oregon coast
Who says you can't drive corvettes in Alberta?

Ken, how did you like walking the Koko Head Trail (where you got the Hanama Bay picture from). I used to walk that trail all the time and used to take it all the way out to the point (far side of the bay in your pic). Used to sit out there for hours on the tribal land. Got lots of pics from that area.
I need to get back to DC and do some more night time shots. I love doing the night time shots. Looking to do some more fireworks stuff this summer. that is always a challenge to keep the sky black, but get all the colors of the fireworks.
These are two that I took right around Christmas 2011. Got tons more of Waianae beach, Solomons MD, and some other places. You are like me, have the ability to travel to all sorts of neat places.

Ken, when you do it, walk down the paved portion of the trail. Shortly after the trail starts heading down hill, watch to the left. You will see a foot worn path form. Follow that and keep walking all the way out till you are practically standing in water. You will find it very refreshing out there as you will feel like you are on the island all by yourself. You really can't see any other hussle/bussle of the Oahu life other than Hanama Bay itself which is a fair distance away. This is the sort of image that you have to look forward to:
Of note though, bring some water with you and a good pair of hiking boots/shoes. While not a difficult climb in the way of needing ropes or the like, the hill is fairly steep and may require a few breaks on the way back up and water is always needed on a hike on the island.

Ken, if you like to do trails on Oahu, let me know. I can recommend a few trails that are easy to do, but will give you lots of chances to do some interesting pictures. Most of the trails are all near Koko Head. I lived on Oahu for 3 years and walked a lot of the trails there. So, I can assist in your endeavor.
