ianclements,

Nice shots but, 3, 4, and 5 also depicts what not to do with backgrounds. Remember, you want the viewer to focus on your subject (Jag) not the background. (There are a few exceptions as if the background or other object is intended to distract.)

You need better angles (low angles really dont show off the car), and better lighting, and a better setting. you get sponsorships by winning trophies, and coverage from events you already participate in. Cool pictures won't get you sponsored.

Get the car into a nice position before sunset, with your camera on a tripod between you and the sun, with a nice level horizon behind you. (Yes, turn the front wheels so you can see the wheel.) Shoot from just low enough and in a position that you can see all four wheels. Zoom in your camera and then back up to frame the shot. Make sure there aren't trees or light poles or other junk "growing" out of the top of your car.

Soon as the sun drops below the horizon, start shooting (with the flash turned off). You have maybe 20 minutes to get your shots. Change the car position a few times, but keep it and the tripod in the same spot. Don't get locked in to seeing only the car when positioning the camera, look at the reflections of the bright horizon behind you on the car - that's what you want to capture.

As far as the photos in the original post go, burn them all and try again, now that you're armed with a plan.
