Hi All - A new addition to the household forces me to let another "baby" go -- my 1981 Daimler DS420 Limousine. It's been sitting for six months and I want to find a home that can care for it. It's right hand drive, black with black to the driver's area and blue grey to the rear of the divider glass. My intent was to upgrade it into a fully loaded DS420. Thus, I have lots of goodies that I've collected for it -- rear headrests and door pockets with speakers for the front and back.

It looks good from about 10-15 feet. As you get closer you can see there are rust bubbles in many places. The front wheel arches and several of the lower door skins need to be replaced/addressed. Three door skins are included with the car. The rear interior is in very good shape. Leather is good and it has new carpet. Some of the wood has hazing. Front compartment has a new shift knob and new carpet set (on order). The front seat has a 3" tear in the leather (I can get that repaired if that's a deal breaker).

Things I have done: tune-up, installed Lumention electronic ignition, new starter carb, new fuel pumps, new hoses/belts, fluids/filters changed. Tires are okay, but they are mismatched. All and all, I'm about $12K into the car.

This is how they were made at the factory. Jaguar bought Daimler in the early sixties and continued the limousine line as their ultra high end car to compete with Rolls Royce. Ironically, most of the parts are from a 420. For more info about the model: www.myds420.info
