Exclamation 1984 Jaguar Series III XJ-6

1984 Jaguar Series III XJ-6.

Originally a North Carolina car, purchased last year with the intent of cleaning her up and getting her back on the road to enjoy. Job requirements kept and continue to keep the owner away from the car and he feels its time to move her on to a new owner who will take the time to get her back on the road.

This car was originally Claret Red and was repainted at some point before this owner took possession. The red paint is faded dull but as seen in a couple photos can be brought back with some polishing and waxing. The car has been sitting for about a year. She will start and run but as a minimum, will need a good fuel system flush and possibly pull and flush the tanks. The 4.2 litre motor has only 62000 miles on her. They produced over 200 hp and pulled these heavy Cats fairly easily with well over 200 lb ft of torque, transferred via a Borg-Warner 3 speed auto. These later cars benefit from the use of Bosch fuel injection.

The electrics work, including the sun roof. A/C will need a recharge. She will need a battery. The interior is grey, with vinyl on the seats and leather in other places. This is not stock. The code reads HDD which is Saville grey. The condition however is very good and primarily needs some cleaning. A new dash pad would really bring her back nicely.

The underbody is typical of a Carolina southern car. No rot.

With just some time, probably a solid weekend of elbow grease, this car could be running and looking pretty darned good.

The asking price is a very low $1500, especially for a rust free, running, drivable example. Priced to sell.
Please contact me for many more photos.
