for sale 1984 XJ6 Vanden PLas $1,850 firm with 96,169 original one family owner. I had intentions of restoring this beauty to a deserved level and driving it to the golf course twice a week but my wife inherited a mint 1987 mercedes 560 SL that took its place in the garage. I have to part with this dream and make new ones. The auto runs good , everything works save a recharge for the air conditioner. It has not been registered for a few years and I drive it around the neighborhood once a week and keep all the components working and operational. The Forum guys help me with a stuck calipher recently . Transmission was rebuilt at around 85K. Front seats have the usual cracks in the leather but generally the interior is in good shape for an anitique. I am pricing this to move and it needs a home with someone that is willingly to roll up their sleves. Hopefully the pics will tell some of the story. Any questions I will be glad to respond to the thread.

 

Wish I had room to add this to the collection, excellent price for a classic. This seems like a great deal for a true enthusiast. Good luck with your sale!

Yes I read the thread in which you started due to it. It never mentioned that you fixed it. What is the "emergency stop"? You really haven't given much info on the car and Im very interested. If you really don't want to sell it, that is fine, but let me know if that is what is going on.

Do you have an apple phone? if so I could call you and I could video conference you and this classic together. It might be the best way to get up and close to this car. The emergency stop was a suggestion by a few forum members that if the calipher was stuck give it a hard stop and see if that frees it up. Well I did and it was a great relief . What questions do you have about it?
