Default 1986 XJ6 For Sale

I've decided to sell my 1986 Jaguar XJ6. Pic’s can be found at 1986_Jaguar_XJ6 pictures by sparky-88 - Photobucket.
Asking $3,500 obo. I’m in the Huntsville, AL, area.

I purchased it in the summer of 2009 as an Army retirement present to myself. Like many old cars, it's a work in progress. I transformed it from a good looking but unreliable old Jag to a good looking daily driver. I used it regularly for about a year. Then I found the old Jag I looked for originally but couldn’t find (1990 XJS V-12). After buying the new old Jag, I was preparing to sell the XJ6. But my son & wife loved it so much they convinced me to keep it and let them drive it to/from school & work for a year.

Here’s a list of what I’ve done to it over the last couple years:
New battery
New distributor cap / rotor
New ignition coil
New ignition module
New ignition wires
New ignition switch
New spark plugs
New starter
New starter relay
New chassis ground cable
New headlight relay
New door lock relay
New window switches
New speedometer transducer
New polyurethane steering rack bushings
New fuel vapor pressure valve
New Transmission fluid / filter
New radiator hoses
New radiator fluid
New rear brake calipers / pads
New front brake rotors / pads
New brake booster
New tires (Michelin HydroEdge)

Here’s a list of what I haven’t attacked yet:
· Replace driver’s side gas tank (small leak makes it unusable)
· Fix horn (horn works but needs rewiring)
· Fix A/C (leak somewhere)
· Paint on front bumpers starting to flake

It’s been a great car for me. Classic old Jag look. The best suspension of any car I’ve owned. I’d love to keep it, but in the interest of marital bliss it’s time to sell it. Too many other old cars to maintain – too little time. I’d like to find it a good home, someone who appreciates a classic like this. I’m pricing it fairly low due to the remaining work it needs.

NADA Report shows the following:
Original MSRP - $32,250
Low Retail - $4,675
Average Retail - $6,250
High Retail - $8,250

Drop me a PM if interested.

Nice car. If it was a different color I'd be sorely tempted :-)

Cheers
