1987 Corvette Convertible 66k W. MI
1987 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible
$8,900 Firm
616-690-5801
66k Miles
Comprehensive service history with all receipts for the last 8 years; I've owned since 02/2006
Medium Brown Metallic(I love the color, some don't) w/ Saddle Top and Interior
Clean, clear, non-salvage title in hand
Automatic Transmission that shifts right and doesn't leak
Head gaskets redone in 2011 w/ valves ground, new guides, seals and tested. New water pump installed at that time.
4 new Bilstein shocks in 2010
Tach and Center LCD for the Digital Dash replaced in 2009
Climate Control unit replaced in 2009 due to bad temp LCD
OEM GM replacement plastic dash panels for the shifter, radio bezel and drivers gauge sections installed in 2009(have boxes to prove)
New AFS ZR1 Black Chrome Wheels in Black Chrome and staggered 9.5" in front and 11" wide in back installed in 2006. Tires new in 09.
Stainless Magnaflow exhaust installed from the stock shorties back to the chrome tips in 2005
Repainted in 2004, approximately 25k miles ago. Absolutely NO rock chips anywhere.
New Windshield and Top in 2003
All brake(except ABS) and cooling system parts replaced in last 5 years
I'm in no need to sell, and unless you have a Lotus Esprit Turbo SE or S4(trade+my cash) or a mint low mileage 1998-2003 Jaguar XJR(straight trade), I'm not really interested in a trade but reasonable trade offers are more than welcome. This car really is nice, and although you can find 1980s C4 Convertibles for less, it'll cost a lot more to get them to this shape than to just buy this. Any questions or if you want to come out and look at it, please call 616-690-5801.

I'm posting this in case anyone wants to trade or buy. I've noticed at least 2 XK owners that also own C4s, so I thought maybe some interest would exist.
This has been a great car, a lot has been done, but I'm just ready for something else. It has receipts up the wazoo and I did what some would call excessive PMs on it, but this is a reliable old car for it.

Nice car and somewhat rare color I think. You might try posting also at the Corvette Forum but, then again, you will probably only get lowballers there (ask me how I know).

The color is pretty rare, I think that in 87 that about 100 were made in Conv and about 150 were made in Coupe. Doesn't make it more valuable, but the color made me really interested in the car when I bought it. If I'd been able to find an XKR in Roman Bronze (I'm not sure if they made an XKR in that color) I would've been all over it.
BTW - What's your story on when they lowballed you?
