1996 vdp
I think it's time for me to sell my 1996 VDP and I thought I'd post it here first to see if there's any interest.
I love this car, it's my daily driver, but I've begun to realize that my inability to turn a wrench as they say is going to cost me in the long run.
In brief, I'm the third owner of this car. It has less than 76k miles on it. It's been garaged, I believe, it's entire life. Although now with me during the day it lives outside.
Since I've had it I've definitely done some upkeep on it. I immediately updated the AC upon delivery since I live in Vegas.
I've also replaced the brake pads, front (last year) and rear (this year)—the rotors were fine. Earlier this year I also replaced all the engine coils and plugs. And just recently I did the fuel pump.
What's left? Well, there's a sensor that needs to be replaced and dammit if the name of it doesn't escape me right now. Apparently it's relatively cheap, there's a kit you buy to repair it which is like $200.
It's probably time to do the rear shocks.
And the sunroof doesn't work (what sunroof does). Oddly enough I can tell you the exact piece it needs in there if you're interested. But still—it's a sunroof.
With all that said the car drives great, the interior is in amazing condition. I feel like the back seats have almost never been used at all.
I realize these, awesome as they may be, don't exactly hold their value like they should. And depending on the condition you can see them for over $10k or under $5k.
I haven't really landed on a price yet, but I would like to see if there's some interest. I've got a ton of pictures. for right now here are a few to give you a sense of it. In case it's tough to tell, this is the green VDP. Happy to answer questions.
