1997 XK8 Convert- 5.7 LS1 Conversion - Finished - Exc Condition - Less eng/trans
1997 XK8 convertible blue over oyster interior, blue top. Converted to GM LS1 5.7L power and auto overdrive trans. Finished car- runs and drives well, AC works, all gauges work. Cosmetically excellent- great body/paint, front seats reupholstered- leather very soft, nice top and original headliner. Everything works- AC nice and cold. New shocks, lowered H&R springs, 18" staggered wheels/tires (245 front, 285 rear), new brakes with drilled front rotors. Has custom headers and Mina high performance exhaust with X-pipe. A nice car- easily better than almost any 97 out there.
Tens of thousands of dollars spent- had a lot of fun - now would like to use the eng/trans in another project. Be sure to see the pics below along with videos of the car in operation.
Selling as a complete roller- car will come with everything needed to get back on the road except the engine and trans themselves. Will include all mounts, driveline, LS1 wiring harness and ECM (still connected to the car), all cooling system and power steering plumbing, all exhaust, air intake, etc.,. - down to every last hose and hose clamp. New owner to just source another Camaro/Firebird 98-02 LS1 engine/trans or similar package (LS2 etc.,.) and drop it in and connect everything. AC compressor and hoses will be left in the car, full charged. Uses a new top quality aftermarket LS1 wiring harness- all connections made and marked. Save thousands of dollars. Conversion uses the Jaguar Specialties CAN interface which works as it should. No extra warning lights or messages- dash cluster is all completely Jaguar stock.
Asking only $6500 as described. Will remove engine and trans after a deal is done. Has clean clear title- no surprises. Originally a California car- spent all its life in Western US. Serious replies only please. Hope to pass along to another Jaguar enthusiast and skip the Ebay route.
Send PM for more info or questions.
See pics and videos below:
Videos Below:
Dash function- Engine start from cold (note temp gauge and tach)
Dash function- Engine start when warm (note temp gauge and tach)
Engine start and run- underhood view (note AC clutch start and cooling fan activation)
