FS[Western US]: 1997 XK8 Convert Parting Out Parts
#102
I'm looking for the right hand rubber window seal that is on the front part of the convertible top. Seal, Right front top part # HJG778AA.
I'd be interested if you had one in good shape.

Window Seal
Thanks for getting in touch. I;m leaving the top assembly all together for now to sell as a complete unit, so nothing really is available off of it.
I think the part number you have below is missing a digit before the AA. I may be able to get the seal for you (from elsewhere) if you can give me the right part number
Thanks
Andrew

Driver door latch
Yes I have a complete driver door with everything in it.
What exactly do you need?

Thanks for your reply. I need the microswitch in the latch in the drivers door that tells the window when the door is open or closed to go down and up. It is not a seperate part so I need the whole latch. There is a video on this forum on how to remove it. If the window functioned properly on your car during the opening and closing process I will offer you $50 for it. Thanks for your help.

XK8 Door latch
Thanks for clarifying on the door latch. Yes, the one on this car works fine- every time you pull up on the handle, the window goes down.
With all fairness, $50 to pull the door apart and remove this piece really just isn't worthwhile for me. They are selling for $100 and up from other sellers, and even that is cheap I think.
I have an XK8 myself, and I may very well eventually need one of these, so selling it off for too little (not even counting the time to remove it) doesn't really make sense
I'd pull the piece out for $150 plus shipping
I have a ton of other parts on this car, so if there is perhaps something else you need, let me know. A package deal always works better.

You're right! It turns out that the number is for the hard top, and is missing a digit. The correct number is HJA 7778 BC Hood Frame Seal RH Front
thanx

97 XK8 Convert- still parting out
Still parting out my 97 XK8 convert.
Much has been sold, but the car is still pretty much complete from the firewall back. Getting closer to the time when it goes to the crusher, so get in touch now for pieces you need.
Serious and reasonable replies only please.

Trunk light relay
I looked into the wiring diagram, and there is no trunk light relay. Only a switch and power provided by the body control module. If your lights aren't working, check the switch....
