Is the paint original? Are you sure? Any engine codes, or RP? Are you ready to entetain a $6,500 kind of price yet?

Default All original no codes

Yes I'm sure it's all original paint and no codes. Comes with carfax report when I bought it. $6500 was going to be my bottom dollar so if you want it for that we can talk.

Hello. Is the car still available? If so, has the timing chain stuff been taken care of?

Good question, It's still available. There are several service records on the Carfax report that don't specify what was performed (I assume they were just regular oil changes and such), but I don't see anything about chain tensioners. I do know that the engine runs just as smooth and quiet as you would hope an engine would. There is no chain lash noise. I could adjust the price enough to cover that.

Glad to hear it's still available Originally I was going to shy away from the 98's because of the darker interior wood, but it's starting to grow on me.

A few more questions.. Does it come with more than 1 key? Owners manuals, etc? And that mount on the dashboard in front of the clock.. Is that screwed in, or could it be removed without causing any damage?

Consider me first in line for the car, in case anyone else suddenly shows an interest in it. I just need to have those questions answered before I make a decision

I thought the same way about the Dark Wood but then the light hits it and shows the Tiger stripes and your like "yeah". I removed the Quartz clock in the center of the dash and made a phone holder that simply screws in it's place. I still have the clock in perfect condition and it can be swapped out in moments.

Cool I sent you a PM.. You can disregard the last part of it, because I didn't see your second post about the keys and manual

I know each car is different but you should not let the chain tensioners deter you from buying. I bought a 98 XJR back in 2003 with 32K miles on it and used it as a daily driver until 2012. I sold it with 98K miles and never had an issue with the tensioners or the Nikasil liners. The current owner has about 125K miles on it now and still drives it daily.
