2000 X308 For Sale
One can not have too many Jags, but in my case, it may be true.
Offering a 2000 XJ8 for reluctant sale to finance purchase of an XJR. 125000 miles, third gen tensioners and dual-row cam chains. Ericcson overhauled ZF transmission with all updates 12/15. Wheel arches repaired with oem metal from texas wreck, rear window removed, rusted channel repaired with good metal/lead work. Headliner replaced at same time as rear window repair. New Michelin shoes. Coolant and brake system flushed 10/15. Original spare only been on road for 6 hours. Brakes in good condition. AC blows cold.
Bumper covers stripped and repainted 6/15 (along with the rust work).
Interior refinished with Leatherique process, OEM floor mats. Door wood trim is cracked but finish not flaking off (you really only see it when it's humid out...). CD changer mounted in trunk (velcro'd to floor mat, never found a mount or boot liner on ebay...oh well..).
VDP grille and lower chrome insert. Original parts go with the car if you don't like the VDP look.
Sunroof works, opens, closes, etc. Drains clear.
Car needs nothing other than normal TLC, and willing to let you talk to my mechanic(s) about how I take care of her.
Photos available of car in present condition, as well as body repairs from last year.
$6500, somewhat negotiable. But, if you consider what it will cost to find one and do all this work...it's a bargain for a drive-away car in prsentable and not-beat-up shape. But, understand, it's a 16 year old car, with normal wear and tear, stone chips, and so forth. I have no compunction driving her on road trips, and was a great vacation auto.
PM me here if interested. You may find cheaper ones...but you'll have to do the work to get it to where this is for probably more $$$.
