2000 Jaguar XK8 Convertible in a very desirable Pacific Blue exterior and leather Oatmeal interior colour combination. This XK8 has extremely low mileage at only 53,250 and the condition of the car is very nice based on the low mileage. It is equipped with several factory options including a premium 8 speaker Alpine sound system with multi CD changer in the truck. The door speakers were replaced with factory replacement units within the last 6 month. It also has the integrated Phone system as well as traction control and dual power leather seats. It does not however have Navigation.

To ready the car for sale the following service/maintenance has been completed.

Valve cover bolt gaskets,
Variable valve timing unit gaskets.

Inspected timing chains & guides.

Overall this XK8 is in very good shape and has been well cared for. The interior is super clean with only the usual wear on the leather of the driver’s seat. The rear seats are immaculate as is the dash pads and all lights, gauges etc…. Tires have approximately 75% tread remaining and the factory spare (full size matching wheel) is perfect with no signs of use. Included with the sale is a factory convertible top boot (covers the top when it is collapsed) in perfect condition in the matching Oatmeal colour, a pair of factory front seat covers (I believe these are the seat covers used when the vehicle is delivered from port to the dealership). Factory tool kit and wheel locks also included.

I guess the big one is the timing gear-original?

 

I am not sure if the tensioner and timing gears have ever been addressed. Not knowing for certain I would assume all original.

 

So the valvegear was just done, did I miss a price somewhere?

 

Well, the local dealer quoted me just over $3K to do the work. However, the parts were just under $800 and I did the work with borrowed cam lock tools etc..from a local shop. It was very straight forward and with the cam locks you need not remove/lift the exhaust cam which make the repair much faster.

 

I think he meant a price for the car.
