All -
I'm selling this as either a project car or a parts car; not parting it out. Most parts on this car should be interchangeable with 1999-2002 S-Types; select parts probably with some newer S-Types too.
The car is in good shape both inside and out as it has been well cared for over the years. It has quite a few nearly new (<7000 mi.) parts on it including: front & rear Bilstein shocks/struts and most other suspension components; overhauled 5-speed transmission; Centric & Brembo brakes/rotors; new battery (in progress).
I'm selling it AS IS because the lower ball joints on the newly installed vertical links failed prematurely (out of warranty), which caused damage to both lower control arms, which in turn caused both front tires to wear excessively. And because it has sat undriven for awhile it also needs a replacement A/C compressor as this one is leaking. Frankly, I just don't want to sink any more money into what is essentially a spare car for me.
Blue Book for this car in fair condition is over $1800. Our asking price is only $1500 but we are negotiable given the car's needs.
The car has a clear title and is located in Sunrise, Florida USA. Anyone having an interest can contact me and I will redirect your inquiry to my son, who is handling the transaction on my behalf.
The seats in this car are more comfortable than any Jag in which I've ever ridden, and more comfortable than my Lexus too. They're electrically adjustable, heated, and well-padded. I drove this car 1200 miles in 2 days and enjoyed every minute behind the wheel thanks to those seats. I wish my '03 and '05 S-Type seats were as comfy.
Electrically adjustable tilt/telescoping steering wheel and cruise control work well too.
I will list the good and bad of this car in my next post. For now, here are the pics...

2001 Jaguar S-Type 3.0L 155,000 mi. Parts/Project Car (Cont'd)
Here's the list of the most recent service work that's been done and components that have been installed, many of which can be removed and used on another S-Type:
ENGINE:
Runs well and burns very little oil; has been using full synthetic for years
5/2016 - Installed new Brembo rotors; installed new Centric pads.
BODY:
Body is in very good condition with virtually no dents or dings or rust. Rear bumper has an area about the size of a quarter that's been touched up
2/2016 - Replaced Front Windshield
WHEELS/TIRES/SUSPENSION:
OEM alloy wheels have some scuff marks appropriate for their age and mileage but overall are in good condition.
May 2015 - Installed 4-Goodyear Eagle Sport All Season 225 55 R16 tires
July 2016 - Replaced rear: sway bar brackets & bushings, upper control arms, lower cntrl arm bushings, Bilstein shocks, anti-roll bar links, inner/outer tie rods
July 2016 - Replaced front: sway bar brackets & bushings, upper control arms, lower cntrl arm bushings, vertical links, Bilstein shocks, anti-roll bar links, tie rods ends.
INTERIOR:
Leather has some cracking on the driver's seat, but these are some of the most comfortable Jag seats in which I've ever sat. I wish my '03 and '05 were this comfy.
Rear seats have almost never been used.
Motorized adjusters work fine.
All power windows work fine.
AUDIO:
AM/FM cassette player. Nothing fancy here; I've never used the cassette player, as I connect my iPhone through an Wireless Bluetooth FM Transmitter
What doesn't work...
Front vertical links (steering knuckle) & lower control arms need to be replaced. New ones failed prematurely, causing excessive tire wear.
Front tires need to be replaced.
A/C Compressor leaks and needs replacement.
Airbag Code 36 (driver airbag error);
Left front park light is out;
Sideview mirror adjustment buttons don't work;
Trunk release on dash doesn't work but trunk opens with key;
Sunroof has been intentionally deactivated by removing trunk#16 fuse;
Door locks occasionally lock then unlock (best to manually push the lock lever to lock position & hold there).

Here's this car's configuration as it came from the factory. Thanks to Lindsey Ucker of Jaguar NA who was gracious enough to provide it at my request...
