2001 Jaguar XJR Supercharged (low miles)

 

Hello, pretty car. Has the wood faded as is common with cars during that year? In my experience it's very hard to tell in pictures. Also, has the timing gear been upgraded?

 

This is the second 2001 I have owned, and am very aware of the "milky" wood issues of the year. While my first '01's wood was pretty bad, the wood in this car actually has held up well. There is some fading, yes, but the brunt seems to be confined to the door pieces as the dash still looks very good. I do not know if the timing chains have been updated.

 

Is it possible for me to get the VIN?

Also, compression test numbers would be wonderful. I would need to know that before I could justify a trip from NC to NE. I have been to Lincoln a few times; I did consulting in a hospital there. This trip would be at my expenses however, not my company's.
