2001 S-Type Great Winter Jaguar $1500
Its not great because of AWD.. because the S doesn't have AWD... Its great because she's a cheap driver with some cosmetic issues but solid running condition that can keep you in a Jaguar all year long, not just during the "nice" months.
Info:
2001 Jaguar S-Type
Back in 2001 this car was purchased new in the Phoenix, AZ area, price was nearly $45,000 and she came very well equipped. This Cat spent most of her life in sunny AZ before finally heading northeast to CT in 2014. The estate is most probably the third or fourth owner of the car.
165,000 miles on the 3.0 Litre, 24 Valve, V6, Rated at 240 HP. Variable Valve timing, Traction Control, 5 SPD auto transmission w/sport setting, Speed sensitive steering and ABS 4 wheel disc brakes.
Front and side airbags, front and rear fog lamps, driveway locking, anti-theft system and full size spare tire.
Premium sound system, Navigation, dual climate control, Connoly leather interior, leather and wood steering wheel, Bird's Eye Maple wood trim throughout and the split rear, pass through seat, full power seats w memory, including fully adjustable steering wheel also w memory.
This car comes out of an estate and was well cared for but driven often as evidenced by the 165000 miles. The front seats show the wear and tear of that. The driver seat bolster is torn however, the passenger seat can easily be saved with some Color-Plus/Leatherique. All electrics work correctly. Car runs and drives very well. There is a slight vibration off idle that has already been diagnosed as a bad motor mount.
As a 2001 Jaguar, she isn't a collectable car.. yet... and she may never be, but with a little TLC, she can be an enjoyable driver and you might as well join up with your local Jaguar club and hang out with other Jaguar owners.
This car is priced to sell. Most price guides show S-Types w the V6 and these options in the mid $2000 range or higher, in this condition.. in better shape they are priced often in the mid 3's to mid $4000 area.
This car can be had for just $1500
It is located in Milford, CT.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions, MANY more photos, comments, to schedule a time to see her or make an offer.
Thank you for the interest.
