2001 Vanden Plas For Sale $3,000 OBO
Selling my 2001 Vanden Plas. The car runs and drives fine but is in rough shape. I don't have time to deal with it any more. I bought the car with a bad "A" drum in February of 2015. That has been fixed and I've been driving it on and off since then. I put around 3k miles on it with no issues. The exhaust removal broke several studs off the catalytic converters so I put bolts where I could. Last week one bolt broke on the passenger side the exhaust is loud when the car is cold, it quiets down as the car warms
The thermostat housing is beginning to leak, and the rear diff is dripping slowly as well. The headliner is sagging, and the sunroof never worked. The interior is in rough shape, the leather was never cared for. During the transmission work the exhaust was cut and new pipes were welded in removing the pre-axle muffers. The rear mufflers are still in place, the car sounded nice before the leak.
Tires are in decent shape, and I just put in a new passenger side knock sensor. Coolant was flushed during the transmission work, and oil was changed around 500 miles ago. If you just need a beater to get around in this will work fine.
It has been an overall reliable car for me, always starting on even the coldest days. I took it on a 4 hour round trip for work about two weeks ago. I'm just tired of always having something to deal with, and have another child on the way any day so I need this gone. I'm hoping to sell it whole but if it doesn't sell I'll part it out if there is demand.
Car is located in Milwaukee, WI. Will ship if desired.

Have you sold your 2001 VDP yet? I have a 1998 Vanden Plas. Same color, same interior. If I drove my car next to yours, I'd have to look at the license plates to tell them apart. The wheel design may be a bit different? Anyway, the problem is, I can't drive mine due to transmission failure. If you still have it, send me a PM or email me at firstchoicenikken@msn.com
