I wonder if you can give me a bit of advice. I have a 2005 Jag Super V8 with 90k miles. The car is of course fully loaded with Nav, DVD etc and all options work well. The car is a wine color with tan leather with piping. I am looking to sell the car and wondered what a fair asking price is. I have looked on KBB.com under private party good condition and it gives $27,000 which seems awfully high, and there are hardly any for sale anywhere. I know the car was $89,000 new but I cannot find any others for sale or sold. Please let me know if you have any idea as toa fair asking price. Thank you.

 

Yes $27,000 does seem high, definitely one case where the KBB does not reflect the market reality very well. I have a 2005 super V8 that I bought 3 years ago with 60k miles and I only paid 17k back then. I see one Super V8 on Ebay that has 102k miles and is selling for $19,695 which sounds reasonable to me so maybe your car should be priced in the 20k ballpark?

I dont see any auction sales for 2005s but the 2006 super 8's with your milage sell for around $23000
