2005 Jaguar XKR recaro seats
Hey guys!
Well.. it's been hard to muster the umpf to sell my car but I am I wasn't planning on this. I am unemployed and being in debt and owing money on the car I'm backing away from my Jaguar . I bought this car last August with ~25K miles on it and now I'm selling my Pacific Blue Jaguar XKR with ~27K miles on it (I don't drive much)
When I bought the car I read that the coolant fluid should be changed every 2 years as well as the brake fluid so I flushed both and have an extra container of coolant from Jaguar if you want thrown in (expensive stuff!). I also changed the thermostat/overflow cap (OEM) and went with DOT4 fluid on the brake fluid. And finally right before winter I changed the oil with synthetic Catrol oil like it recommended. I never drove it in the snow borrowing another car. I wasn't sure if it was ever done being such a low mileage car so I just did the preventative maintenance just in case *shrugs*.
Far the car there's nothing wrong with it - it's super clean, no leaks and it's pretty zippy with it's ~400hp.. it has a blue top which the photos/camera doesn't pick up well.. there was a worn spot on the drivers side when I bought it that I was planning on painting with a leather kit so I included that in the photo but should be able to repair that. I took a photo of that.
Also I was working at an Infiniti dealership here locally in Utah (Tim Dahle Infiniti) and I had them install a clear bra. It wasn't the best job by them - and the clear bra is coming off on the drivers mirror and under the drivers bumper. Took a photo of that.. I would have fixed it but I had a falling out with them which is why I'm out of work but you should be able to fix that easy (hey least no rock chips up front right?). Also I bought touch up spray underneath the bumper and retouched the lower lip of the bumper from scratches the previous owner did. Brakes are in spec but in future you will need new pads, I measured the rotors and they are in spec.
It's a great sexy car.. I'm looking to just get blue book and I know there's a bunch listed on cars.com and other sites for waaay more but I'm just looking to get what it's worth out of it and get back on my feet...
Looking for $19,182 which is what KKB says it's worth. I think it's in excellent shape..
Just some features/options....
Hope it goes to a good home
this is the clear bra bit I was talking about
this is the worn/burn bit I think caused by the seatbelt..

I saw your listing a couple of other places, I would have made an offer, But ... its a convertible. Here in the Pacific North west you don't get many drop top days or I would have bought yours. I did find an 04 coupe though... GLWS

Have you thought about renting it out? I know some people do that, unsure how it works, but you could easily make the car payments that way...
also, there is bringatrailer.com
good luck with everything!
cheers!

i just told someone yesterday that although i LOVE my car, if i lost my income, or the car became a money pit, I would sell it in a second.

List her on Car gurus , if all else fails try ebay.
The only thing that stopped me from buying her, is I really didn't want a convertible. Note: with this really nice weather, aka sunshine for the first time in 6 months...... I really want a convertible........beautiful car...

Yeah I don't blame you wanting a coupe - I think the lines on the coupe are better (although coming from a miata.. it's pretty quiet inside the convertible..plus nice to have that option and you can be a total dork and ask a date "if she wants to go topless?"... j/k) but it is kind of nice to put the top down on a spring day and drive around with the sun on ya.. (on a cool/warm day not a summer day!)
Anyway yeah.. I'm going to tick off someone today :/ I have to decide between buyers here.. ugh..
