99 Jaguar XJ8 - $11.5k OBO - 110k Miles
Let me start off by saying that I know there isn’t a huge market for these cars used. However this car is a great opportunity for someone looking for a very luxurious daily driver. The car has recently received over $4000 of OEM replacement parts. If you know anyone looking for a solid car then please show them this ad.
1999 Jaguar Xj8

Just about every mechanical part that Jaguars need to have replaced at a 100k was recently replaced, including a new $2500 throttle body. The car has only spent the last 6 months of its life in the city, 5 of which it was sitting in my driveway because my dad couldn’t afford to put it on the road. I’ve taken it upon myself to sell the car and to give my dad the proceeds.
The original owner lived in the suburbs and serviced the car at a Jaguar dealer. The car was purchased with 2 bent valves caused by the timing chain tensioner breaking and the chain snapping. All the valves on the right bank of the engine, all seals and gaskets, the timing chain tensioner, the timing chain, the injectors, the plugs, and a $2500 throttle body were repaired by a jaguar certified technician. The car was flushed of all fluids and received an AC service, Jaguar coolant, and a synthetic oil change. All the work was completed in a Jaguar shop.
The car has an immaculate interior with the exception of the cracked wood trim on the driver side door panel and a few dings and dents on the exterior. I am not a person who enjoys bull s***ting so I will tell you that the car either needs two lower bushings on two front shock absorbers, or two entire new front shocks(either way the problem will be addressed before selling the car) as well as a issue we are having with the Mass Air Flow Sensor which is also being addressed. The tires are Michelin MX4’s and still have a lot of life on them.
For $11,500 I will repair the small blemish in the rear left quarter panel, as well as the crack in the front bumper. If the car sells for less the then $11,500 we still may be able to work something out.
V8 4.0 Liter, Automatic Transmission, RWD
Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Telescoping Wheel, Cruise Control, AM/FM Stereo Cassette, Dual Front Air Bags, ABS (4-Wheel), Leather, Dual Power Seats, Sliding Sun Roof , Alloy Wheels, 6 CD changer, Premium Sound, Front Side Air Bags, Traction Control.
This is truly a well cared for vehicle.
Please come look at the car and drive it. I would really like to get rid of it and get myself back into a BMW and him his money back.
$11,500 OBO for a car that has a book value over $13,000
