Hello all,
I've just joined tonight so as to create this post about a parts car I found in a local yard. It will be headed to the crusher in the next week or two. I have a couple mid '60's MGB's but no Jaguar's.

I have spotted what appears to be an XJ12 Series 1. It is in very poor condition. I'd be happy to salvage parts from the car for others to use on their restorations. Can you please give me some idea what the value may be of the following parts.
1. complete instrument panel, including 12cyl Smiths Tachometer & 160mph Smiths speedometer, both 5" diameter
2. spare chrome slotted wheel with 185/70R15 tire
3. Twin SU electric fuel pumps located in the boot next to the spare tire
4. independent rear suspension assembly
5. jack, perhaps misc. interior parts
6. No powertrain, no hood

thats too bad. what a beautiful car.

if the body isnt too bad i have a strong running v12 with a rusted xjs body wrapped around it for anyone who wants a b ig undertaking.

 

There was no rear bumper, that I saw.

It certainly was a beautiful car. Sad to say, it has been "passed on" to the next phase of reclaimation, along with many other car bodies of much more humble exisitence.
