I accidentally bought this for an x-type manual - big mistake!

It's a gorgeous item though that belongs on a nice Jag somewhere. Thread is roughly 8mm or 5/16" diameter.

I paid £52 for it, but at this point it's just sat gathering dust so I'm open to offers to anyone who wants to take it off my hands.

I've researched S-type Auto gearknobs on eBay (OEMs) and on all the listing I could find which mentioned thread width, they said 8mm. I'm confident that it's compatible with the autobox.

If you want it and it doesn't fit, I'd be happy to refund.

Edit: sorry, was using mobile site so didn't see the XJ in your signature. I've checked and seems same applies, both Jags used the 8mm thread for autos, just the manuals which had a thicker thread.

 

If it will fit on an XJ I'd be very interested.
