Hey, Someone save this future classic MY 2000 British Racing Green XJ8L VandenPlas.

My father and I have owned the car since late 2003. It was our pride and joy. Unfortunately in 2006 someone made a U-turn out of the blue and hit the drivers side front of the vehicle, theres no structural damage however it will need a new front bumper cover, d/s headlight bracket, hood and d/s front fender.

In 2007 first gear went on the transmission with 112,000 miles on it. drives fine in every other gear and 21,000 miles have been driven since then, all its does it take off in second gear verses first gear.

I believe the motor is of non Nikasel, water pump and thermstat have been replaced. both oil breathers, MAF cleaned every oil change. Mobil1 synthetic has been used throughout the years of our ownership.

The motor starts first time every time and I included a video shot earlier today( the car hasnt been start in a little over 24 hours)

Brakes are good. Interior is all intact with no tears.

Save this car from being donated (scrapped). At 1 point I sourced all the parts and the prices were as so,

transmission-$750 shipped
BRG fender -$150 shipped
hood- $300 local auto salvage
headlight assembly-$100
bumper cover- $100 local auto salvage.

paint for 1 panels and 2 bumpers- $1000
