Im checking on the Lincoln forum, Lincolnvscadillac.com today. The stock wheels on my car have a 60mm offset. Ive found 49mm on plenty of LS's, and one case where a set with 38mm caused rubbing and damage to the fender. Those are very nice wheels!

 

Thanks. I will try and measure the offset on these wheels today. On the thread someone attached the method to measure them, so I will try that today so I am sure on my end, what is the offset. I will post it later.

 

Well I tried to measure the offset by following the link in this long thread. It is confusing to me, but I think its positive 40-45mm. Click on this ebay link for a great information and comparable,

He wants like $250/wheel and they are badly damaged with cheap tires. He says he believes that they will fit ALL Lincoln LS.

My 2003 S type 4.2 liter has a standard calipers. Hope this makes sense.

Let me know your thoughts ANYone, on buying these great wheels soo dang cheap. After reading the Ebay ad, maybe I should do an EBAY sale.

 

I'm serious about buying them. I just need to be sure on the offset. I've been searching for hours with no luck. I did come across that set on Ebay yesterday. That guy is crazy. Those tires are basically worthless and wheels in that condition are pretty close to the same.

The S-type has a lot of wheel options that its Lincoln sibling won't allow due to differences is well dimentions and axle/suspension variances. I'll keep looking and if you get a confident measurement please post up!

 

Tonight I went to my Mechanic at Merchant Tires and he called his wheel specialist and requested the offset for these exact BBS wheels that were OEM built in the upgrade wheel package. He confirmed the offset as positive 40MM. That is what is meant by the inside wheel reading numbers as 5 x 108 with 40 msl.

 

Will they fit an 04 XKR and what the asking price?

 

Unfortunately, I couldn't buy these wheels due to fitment issues with my eibach's. In my research, I did find that Jaguar put an identical set on the X-type called "Melbourne" which are 18x7.5, rather than 18x8. These would make a great upgrade and allow for a wider tire, space permitting of course.
