Jaguar XK8 - 1996 RHD
jj, you will be pleased to hear that I finally figured out how to post this!!
For Sale to a Good Home, 1996 XK8 Convertible, travelled modest 13,009kms (8083 miles). Real. As New. Note that it is Right Hand Drive. Needless to say, the service record is available. It is one of the very first of these cars ever produced, and I think it was a Dealer Demo car imported by the Hong Kong Distributors for Jaguar. It is literally unmarked. Because of the ridiculous Australian Import Rules, it is facing the gas axe to be brought in for parts. I think it is worth at least A$30k intact, lots more if we 'wreck' it (the convertible alone is worth at least $13k complete secondhand-just the pump is $5k). But commiting such a wanton act of vandalism goes against the grain. I'd rather find somwhere else to ship it.

Is this car still available? Can it import to the United States? What would shipping and import costs be. Can you reply to jagiesler@comcast.net?

We're facing the same problems in NZ as you are in Aussie now thanks to our government blindly following the pied piper over the cliff on Jan 1st 2012.
Import laws now mean nothing less than Euro5 emmissions compliant can be imported. EUROPE isn't even that strict!
There are lots of people like yourselves with beatiful cars stuck on the wharf they now cant comply.
Soon our used car prices will rival Aussie....if the govenment had their way we'd all be driving a white Prius.
