Default Perfect 2001 Jaguar XJR for sale...NOT!

I have decided to sell my adult owned, garage kept, near perfect, well cared for 2001 Jaguar XJR with 70K miles to fund another purchase.

The car is near flawless: Exterior and interior are in excellent condition, paint shines like new, everything works, A/C is ice cold, tires are Bridgestone Potenzas with lots of tread left on them.

Engine looks and runs like new.

Secondary tensioners were upgraded to 3rd generation metal when I purchased it two years ago.

Other upgrades done:
  • Real Guage kit installed
  • Electric exhaust cut outs professionally installed - wow are these fun!
  • Antenna switch installed
  • Fender leapers changed to side markers
  • Akebono ceramic brake pads recently installed
  • "R" badges on fenders, grill and back
  • VDP roof console with wood trim
  • Cupholder converted to GPS
  • Red painted calipers
  • Custom supercharged burled walnut shift knob
  • OEM Jaguar umbrella

I also have VDP seat backs with tray tables and a new hood liner with "R" logo that have not been installed, they will go with the car.

If you are looking for a well cared for, low mileage XJR that needs nothing, no stories, and no problems then this car is for you.

I spent 3 years looking for this car and turned down many cars that were less than perfect before I bought her.

You will not find a better XJR.

Price is $13,900.

You can email me at miltcalataoldotcom.

They are installed just after the headers and when open they bypass ALL the mufflers on the car. You can open them a little or a lot, get a burble or a roar, very cool.

They are the absolutely most favorite mod I have done to any car ever!

I have seen this car in person on several occasions and can say that it is very sharp looking, and has been well taken care of! All of the mods have been nicely done, with a seamless factory appearance.

I would kill to own this. Engine costs more here than your asking! Can you tell me about the Antenna Switch please. I find it annoying to have the antenna fully up when using MP3 etc. Very interested.

A few tire kickers. I know this sale is going to take some time.

Only someone willing to pay for a pristine example of an XJR will buy mine.

Here are a couple of threads on the subject:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...xj8-xjr-58892/

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...antenna-24564/

I couldn't find the correct wire in my console, so I ended up running a switch loop from the switch in the console all the way back to the antenna in the trunk. I did it when I had the back seat out to remove/repair my sub woofer.

That is one beautiful XJR. If I could afford it, I would be all over it!

I went through the same routine. There were, and probably still are, a number of higher mileage XJRs that were much lower than me on the price. I had received a number of ridiculous offers, one was for $4k. Out of pure curiosity i asked why would anyone offer $4k for a $10k car. the response was that he has seen it advertised for a while now...I did ride out the wave though and a buyer found me from 150 miles away. A mobile inspection gave thumbs up and I was able to get almost the entire asking price.

Interestingly, few responses I received from listing on this forum were not very productive. So I wouldn't really count on finding your buyer here. In defense of the forum, I encountered a similar situation on another forum where I listed my other car.

You have a great car there. Be patient and stick to your guns.

What brand of cutouts did you use?
I'm thinking of installing a set on my 04 XKR if I like them I may do it on my 02 XJR.
Thanks

Vector - a stunning example and obviously in great shape and loved.

I do hope you get the asking price or as near as possible and that the sale happens quickly for you.

What are your plans for your next vehicle?
Jag or other?

Cheers

No longer for sale.

I lost my nerve and decided to keep her and put the Ferrari purchase off for a while.
