Default Rolls Royce Meteor V12 Engines

I have a pair of Rolls Royce "Meteor" V12 Engines with Allison transmissions for sale. These came out of an Australian Land Speed Record car. If interested, please let me know. They are reasonable, but not cheap! We'll talk price if you are really interested;

That might work, but there wouldn't be any room for cup holders!

That guy Rousch, the tuning specialist is into these in a big way isn't he? Might be worth sending him a mail.

Perfect for someone with a war bird, maybe Reno air races they'd be snapped up....

I believe there are only 48 airworthy Spitfires left - can't think of a better home for them.

Now THAT would really give a Series 3 E-Type some low-end torque.....

Top Gear UK did an episode, I think in the last year, with an old Bentley that had the non-supercharged version of the Merlin in it, they put it up against a similar 1930's German car with a WW2-era BMW aircraft engine in it.

I'd love to build a car with one of these in it....

Just a thought, write to Jay Leno and see if he'd be interested in them for his Big Dog Garage?

That's a great idea Cambo! I found out these are actually Rolls Royce "Meteor" Engines. Apparently used in Tanks and other powerful vehicles!

If you're talking to Jay, tell him to call me, i'm tired of leaving him messages...

Couldn't find a video clip from Top Gear but here are some pics.

Default CS Please edit you Post ...Not Merlins but Meteors !

CS

I had several interested buyers, but not for Meteors. I think it would save time for the sale of your engines.

Big difference in Models, one aviation the other for tanks.

Best wishes

Robert

Yes, as I mentioned earlier in this post, they are Meteors, not Merlins. I have changed my first post to reflect this
