It is a reparable write-off.
What happened:
I was driving through a round-a-bout.
A Lady had trouble stopping in time due to being on the phone and nudged my Jaguars rear left wheel arch, which was enough to damage the rear suspension and cause panel damage.
The Damage:
Rear left quarter panel is dented. Needs a new panel or what not.
Rear suspension needs to be replaced.
Front right door handle is starting to stick on the outside...
- Car still looks 'ok' - the damage is more minor looking than major, i guess. The dent is noticeable, but nothing has reaaaally caved in as such.
- The suspension is the issue as the wheel has moved around 5 inches backwards. (so it is slightly crabbing - which is why it needs replacement suspension).
***The rear suspension can be found on Ebay cheap***
As these jags had self leveling suspension, and usually failed after a certain amount of km's as I am lead to believe, a lot of companies started making aftermarket Jaguar rear suspension kits at cut prices.
A lot of Jaguar owners have replaced the self leveling system with these aftermarket kits - and claim they are even much better.
You guys being Jaguar fans and owners, probably have some stories to tell yourselves...
I've seen a few kits around the internet for around $450-600 aud.
Now, if all this jaguar needs is rear suspension, and you can put it on yourself - you'll be laughing! Otherwise expect to pay a little more for someone to fit it.
I simply do not have the time, nor the tools to do this job myself.
The longer the jag sits in my front yard, the quicker it is going to die.
(It is technically already dead, but that's an easy fix! .. Easy if you're a mechanic... I guess... What is easy anyway? Hrmmm... Moving on.)

The car was in roadworthy condition til this accident. Not one issue - aside from the front door handle being a bit average.
Nothing else is likely to be required for RWC once the rear suspension is replaced.
You are welcome to come and inspect the car, You can hear it run and play with the hundreds of cockpit controls and buttons n things - it's quite amazing inside really...
Seat goes up, seat goes down, seat goes up, seat goes down. Oooh a sunroof! - terrific!![Icon Mrgreen](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)
I am after $2500ono as is.
Take all the time you need to inspect this vehicle, as I won't be offering refunds.
I have all paperwork confirming status and ownership of vehicle.
Take it away and it is yours to deal with![Icon Beamme](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_beamme.gif)
I would consider trades - I am after a v8 or similar performance vehicle.
I would also consider wrecking the car for her engine + transmission, but it would be cheaper for you to just buy the car... So... Just buy the car![Cool](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/cool.gif)
The Jaguar is located in Melton, Victoria.
Send me a PM to arrange an inspection or ask any questions.
Vehicle will be available after 13/5/2014 - waiting on final paperwork.
Thanks.
