I am posting my car for sale. I hate to see it go but I need something that sits a little higher off the ground. We have had this car for five years and we have enjoyed it.

1997 Jaguar Vanden Plas
$4995 or reasonable offer, trades will surely be considered!
93,xxx miles(daily driver)
Anthracite black exterior with Cream interior.
Sunroof works
Headliner has been recovered with the proper color headlining
Runs perfect, shifts perfect.
A/C blows cold
All windows work, stereo works
Original multi-spoke VDP/XJ12 wheels in very good condition, no curb rash
Console wood in great shape
Dash wood in great shape
Front wheel bearings repacked a month ago
Left rear wheel bearing replaced a month ago
Brake pads in great shape all around (Akebono's that don't seem to wear)
Front tires are in good shape, about half worn.
Belts recently replaced
Spark plugs replaced within the last year
Water pump replaced
Upper rad hose replaced
Oil changed every 3k only use Jag filters
Just changed fuel filter
Performed throttle body cleaning
No oil leaks on the ground!!!
One new coil
Wired for Aux input for iPod/iPhone
6 disc changer in the trunk still works!
Original owners manual AND Select Edition information
Just a great running car overall

The bad
Paint is faded on the roof and trunk lid. The rest of the paint is still nice.
Drivers seat leather is cracked a little.
Sunroof wind deflector is missing.
Clock is missing one section on the last digit. It's fun to figure out if it says 3 or 9
The front seat heaters don't work.
Front lambswool rugs in rough shape.
Front door speakers make rattle noises.
There is a small line type dent on the left front fender.
Left front lower shock bushing is worn. Some clunk noise from it.

Hopefully I didn't forget anything but if y'all see something I missed and have questions, please ask. I am not a salesman in the least so coming up with a sales pitch for this is hard for me. It is a great running car and, when it is cleaned up, a great 10 footer. It does have some flaws but nothing catastrophic. It is a 15 year old car so no warranty is expressed or implied for anything. We have been very fortunate that this car has been so trouble free that you would think it was a boring Honda or Toyota.

Bump, Any takers? Great car in good shape. No rust. Runs perfect. Its still my daily driver.

 

Updated the title transfer information. A temporary tag can be issued to the car for out-of-state buyers. I will pay the fee but you must provide proof of insurance with me at the Delaware DMV if buying in person and driving home to your state.

I'm looking for something a little higher off the ground. I'm 6'4 and it takes a bit to get up out of this car. It rides great so have zero concern about the car.

There was some interest in the car but not enough to result in a sale. I have decided to keep the ole girl and continue as a daily driver. Thanks to all who have looked and even thought about it. I plan on putting my limited cash into the car and even the wife suggested getting it painted. Someday this car will be as gorgeous as when it left the line. Until then, happy motoring.
