I've decided to sell my Jag, it's finished in Flamenco Red, there are a few age related marks and blemishes to the paint work with slight rust just starting to show on the O/S rear wheel arch but it is nearly 15 yrs old, I’ve taken this into consideration when setting the price.
The interior is full cream leather and burr walnut with contrasting biscuit dash/door tops, seat piping, carpets and original lambs wool over mats, the trim is in remarkable condition the only evidence of wear is a little scuffing to the drivers seat side bolster, steering wheel and handbrake leather plus slight wear to drivers over mat, otherwise it’s pretty much un- marked.

The car as covered 165K but drives as new, all the electrics work sunroof, seats, cruise etc, LCD displays are all fully functional (it’s common for them to fail), it comes complete with both keys and central locking remote, Jaguar documents wallet with hand books, service history, receipts etc.
This Jaguar as been very well looked after, its previous 3 owners sparing no expense maintaining it, this is evidenced by its full Jaguar service history.
Recent work includes cam chains, tensioners, guides and aux belts, this is a major job which involves cyl head removal so at the same time the cylinder head was overhauled (new guides, valves recut, cam followers re-shimmed, new gaskets inc headgasket etc), it also benefits from a S/S exhaust, recent lambda sensors, rear dampers, brake overhaul with new pads and fluids.
The cam chain assembly is the only potential weak link of an other wise bullet proof motor, the tensioner is known to fail the chain then wears the guides excessively and untimately wears into the block / head castng a very expensive problem, as you can see this car as had this job sorted so the cam chain should be good for another 150K.
The only thing needing attention is the Climate control, which needs re-gassing.

The Sovereign is the top of the X300 range, boasting a powerful 4 litre 250BHP AJ16 straight six engine mated to the silky smooth Borg Warner auto box with sport mode. The Sovereign comes fully loaded with many extras over and above the lesser models (Sport etc) these extras include cruise control, electric sunroof, full leather, Harmon Kardon premium sound with CD changer and 16 speakers, electric adjustable seats and steering column with multi user memory, heated front screen and seats, climate control, twin rear sun blinds the list goes on and on, this car seems to have every extra available.
Not only is this a very luxurious car it’s safe too, featuring ABS, airbags, traction control etc, the X300 came second only to the S class Merc in safety tests.

Why settle for a 3.2 Sport when this 4.0 Sovereign is much better equipped and just as good on fuel but with the extra power and toque of the 4.0, it returns 20mpg around town and 32 mpg on a run (that’s the best I’ve seen using the cruise) that’s about 26 mpg overall, while it’s never going to be as economical as a small car it’s pretty good considering the cars performance and engine size.
I'm looking for £1450 with 12 months MOT and 6 months tax but I'll listen to sensible offers.
This is a lot of car and still looks worth the 57K it originally cost
