I am helping my boss sell his beautiful 2001 Super V8 VDP. It was taken care of meticulously and he recently had about $2400 worth of work done in preparation to sell. My boss is an older gentleman who is an architect and co-owner of an architectural firm. For those of you familiar with architects, you know we are incredibly detail oriented and this car certainly reflects that.
Car is located in Central Florida (Orlando). He is asking $6700 for this rare beast.
Feel free to ask whatever questions the pictures do not answer. Thanks!
How many miles?
Service history?
Major work done?
Clean title?
Any accidents?
Kind of obvious things to post in a car ad.
I think the correct description of that model is "Vanden Plas Supercharged". The next year was called a Super V8, without the Vanden Plas. Super V8 Vanden Plas does not, strictly speaking exist, and is a tautology.
Yes I understand that...was hoping to get more info soon after posting but have not due to work being pretty crazy right now. Here is what I know thus far...
- 92k miles
- Black Exterior with Walnut/Tan Interior
- Was bought from original owner
Everything works as it should and I have personally driven it myself and it feels great. He loved this car and has taken meticulous care of it. The only reason he is selling is because he got a new Jag and his wife wants him to get rid of this one.
He has all receipts of work that has been done although I do not know the specifics right now, can get more info for those interested. Thank you.
I posted in x308 forum about the parking brake. A resulting from line change-over. Parts are "usually" switched over in order, usually most important first.
So from LHD to RHD
Pedals, linkages and wiring
Dash and wiring,
Door switches, windows and locks on both sides.
Parking brake
Check the build date, likely an early 2001. From when the production lines are re-tooled from UK-US/ROW spec.
