Default For sale - XK8 with 79,250 miles

I am selling my 2001 XK8 -- black with tan soft top. 79250 miles. $5800 or best offer.

New front tires in 2014; back tires still good. A good buffing will remove light scratches.

The $3k question: have the timing chain tensioners been done yet?

I received the car after my brother passed and I don't know. I do know that the car is in very good shape, runs very well. I had an alignment and oil change done at Rosenthal Jaguar in Vienna, Virginia in December 2015 and there were no issues.

They all have issues with the chain tensioner and will lunch an engine if not done soon. Some go longer than others, just fyi. Search in here for answers.

Default CarFax Report

After looking at the CarFax report, I can't tell if my brother did anything with the timing chain, etc. Unfortunately, I am selling the car "as is." I've probably spent more than $5000 myself in repairs. I just can't keep it up -- getting too close to retirement. Even at the price at which I'm selling it, it's still a good bargain for someone who loves Jaguars and/or enjoys working on them.
