Here is a Bilstein 44-069483 OEM-type front air shock/strut for 2004-09 Jaguar XJ8, XJR, Vanden Plas and Super V8 models. This unit looks like new and reportedly was installed as a replacement on another Jag shortly before it was scrapped. I bought this to put on my car and, while looking for a second one, was able to buy a similar pair instead. So, I'm just trying to get my money back out of this one and pass it along to someone else who can use it.

Yes, but they both leak so one strut is one too few.

 

These Bilstein struts list for $1146 but you can buy them new for as low as $700. Add one new one to this one and you've saved $220 on the pair. More important is that you retain the full function of the CATS suspension system. The Arnott struts available for around $500 delete the active damping capability of the OEM struts. The CATS sensor simply plugs into a dummy holder on top. There are also cheap Chinese rebuilds showing up on eBay but it has been confirmed that many (if not all) of these simply replace the airbag while retaining the internal shock valving and piston that may have 100,000 miles on them!
