Default Stunning 86 Vanden Plas with only 46K

I'm pleased to offer up my personal 1986 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas, Satin Beige over Doe Skin. This car spent most of its life in California and then Kentucky, only recently in the last two years in Pennsylvania, strictly garaged. She has only 46K miles, zero rust with the exception of some minor area on the passenger side windshield which is not all uncommon.

Undercarriage shows virtually no corrosion anywhere. Exterior is fantastic with only a minor nick near the door. It appears to be an older re-paint, but looks great. Chrome/Glass/Plastic all shiny and fresh with no pitting. Wheels are original Kent rims and show only minor wear. Connolly leather interior is original and stunning. The seats were regularly Leatherique treated. A few hairline cracks on the wood, but that's it, and burl finish still dark and deep.

Perfect headliner and meticulous carpets. Dash and remaining vinyl/plastic trim as new. All rubber trim and door gaskets supple. Vanden Plas plush floor mats in fantastic condition. Engine and transmission are absolutely fantastic, quiet, perfect shifts. Tracks beautifully straight, not shimmy or unusual noises. Brakes excellent all around, solid an firm with a new master cylinder. All electronics are excellent, cruise works, functional trip computer, sunroof, power antenna, locks, fuel switchover, ice cold a/c that was converted to R134 awhile back, and properly operating climate control. Some "sweating" underneath, but no notable leaks or drips.

Here are some Photos:

Since acquiring, I've done the following to ensure long term safe and reliable transport. Most items replaced for precaution and reliability, not actually defective.

Fresh set of Michelin tires
Filters/Fluids including
Brad Penn Oil/Filter
Coolant Flush
Rear Diff Flush
Brake Fluid Flush
Trans Fluid/Filter
Power steering flush
Repack Wheel Bearings
Air Filter
Fuel Filter
Full front end suspension rebuild
Upper/Lower control arm bushings
Sway Bar bushings
Steering Rack Bushings (Poly)
Upper/Lower Balljoints
Tie Rods
Shocks
New fuel injectors and seals
Mostly new rubber fuel lines
All accessible vacuum lines replaced
New Emission Control/Breather Hoses, misc rubber gaskets
Cruise Control Bellows
Oil Pressure Sensor
Cam Cover Gaskets
New temperature sensors
New Thermostat
New Pertronix Ignition and Coil (original included with sale)
Nice upgrade too. Never had a XJ start this fast!
New Magnecor plug wires
New OEM Spec Plugs
New Belts
New Sunroof Seal
New Hood Insulation Pad
New Master Cylinder
New Front Brake Lines
Door panels removed and all mechanisms lubed
Upgraded Dash lights to LED bulbs (huge difference)
Auxiliary fan modified to run with A/C on (known upgrade from a V12)
1989 XJS "Sport" Steering Wheel (Original pristine wheel included in sale)
Thicker wheel really does improve the driving experience.
Stereo is a later Alpine unit that sounds great and I've modified for an Aux output to connect your phone
Brake dust shields installed

Fresh out of winter storage (started weekly), comes with original books, Vanden Plas marketing tape, all records, mats (2 sets), car cover. Car shows fantastically, I probably spent 20 man hours just detailing the engine! It's a great opportunity to own a ultra low mileage, but well serviced, highly original Jag, in the best late series III, and with all the Vanden Plas upgrades.
