I can't say anything about the performance increase yet, besides that it’s being held back for the moment. I don't think it will be far off from the XKR performance though, the pull is very strong, it felt good ;-)
The kit will be based on the bored out stock TB (so from 75mm to 78.5mm), there just isn't enough room for a bigger unit (unless you lower the engine, or raise the hood).
The Water/Meth will be advantageous for extra hp, no doubts there, also as it will give you the possibility to go with even higher pressures (smaller upper pulleys), and it also has great cleaning capabilities. The minus is that you need to make sure the water/meth kit always works fine (if you go above the recommend boost levels), and you need to refill (which I personally don't like, am lazy, filling 1 tank is already enough for me).

PM send, better to remove your mail address in your post now.

Oh the blue silicone, my eyes, the goggles do nothing!
Glad to see it's up & running, but yes some work on the aesthetics is in order, needs a black intake tube & will have to cut up the engine cover to get it back over the charge coolers (if you see 34by151's tests, the cover actually helps reduce the heat soak).
What boost is it running so far André?

You can spray it any color ;-), black would be my choice too, but the shop local to me doesn't have that. Have painted them on my car as well. As said I don't include the piping.
No point in measuring the boost now, remember the MAF/Air box is holding it back for now, I will only start measuring once that is done. I then expect with the current upper pulley somewhere close to 20 psi.

So I just wanted to say thanks to Andre (& his family) for their hospitality this evening.
Great to finally meet the man, and go for a spin in the XKR. Awe-inspiring to see (& feel, & hear) his creations up close, and the workshop where the magic happens.
Thanks again mate, if you ever make it down my way, the door is always open.

See my signature below for the installation of this kit into my own car. AVos has a great offering! It has proven to be reliable and INCREDIBLY POWERFUL.

Really sorry guys, I haven't been able to work on the STR kit the last 2 months, but I will update again in a week or 2 with where I stand.

Hi!
Very interesting thread. Some questions =)
How much Power do you think the stock gearbox and diff can handle?
Its not possible with the 90mm throttle body to 1998-2003 XJR?
And last if going for the Stage I Kit what MAF and intake is best for 1998-2003 XJR to improve HP additionally?
regards

This thread has lured me into joining the site and posting my first words here just to get my post count up so I can PM. I'm a long-time poster on Lotus forums, but this looks like it'll be the place for my Jaguar lust. Just want to add a thank you for this thread and all the hard work - my STR may just be heading for some work when you have this one perfected (with your goodwill of course)! Will the STR kit be "invisible" once in place? Thanks again

the running examples of 4.2 cars with the avos twinscrew kit are mostly earlier jags with the mercedes 5-speed gearbox that is VERY robust, and easily handle the power, the rest of the drivetrain appears to hold up too, but no one is drag racing hard on slicks with all this extra power to really stress the driveline either, so depends on the end-user really,
i am more curious about the ZF 6-speed in the STR and later model jags, and how it will hold up,
avos, does the XJ test mule running your 'STR-kit' have a 6speed ZF, or does it also have a 5speed mercedes?
The problem with the bigger throttlebody, (90mm) is how tight the throttle is to the cowl, even stock there is very little room back there,
it seems there just isnt enough space for a larger than stock throttlebody for XJ and STR applications, and we will have to make do with the slightly limited power output,
avos, have you considered machining a custom billet tight radius throttlebody adaptor, like a 90-180 degree billet elbow, to move the throttlebody over to the side, closer to the master cylinder / over the exhaust manifold?

@GritsNCornbread
Thanks for the trust, but you may have to be somewhat patience.
@Mr Burzum
No Idea about max power, no one could tell me before I started, so all I know now what I have been driving with. A lot will also depend on how you use the power and how you treat/maintain your car. I see in your 2nd post that you have a 2002 XJR, so you have a AJ27 engine, and can have the 90mm TB, so best is also the Stage II and the ProM MAF.
@Dr_Jezz
It will not be invisible for to the trained eye, but it isn't in your face either.
@GT42R
A couple are driving arround with the TS kit on a 6HP26 gearbox, so far no issues there. There just isn't enough space the side route, so I use dthe original route, though much optimized.
