Some questions...

1. Will the 4.2 Cost less, more or same as the 4.0 (XJR)

2. When will you be done with the 4.2 XJR

3. Will it look like the original supercharger, so the car can be "legal"

1) I would guess about the same, maybe a tad lower.
2) Don't wait for it please, earliest would be summer 2012
3) Can only guess here, but I would say only a trained eye will notice it.

This is music to my ears

Want this for my other Jaguar and summer 2012 works fine. If only a trained eye would see a difference the people at the Swedish "Bilprovningen" will not see any difference they are certainly not Jaguar experts.

cheers!

Two more questions..

Will you use the 2.6L or 2.8L?

A tad lower, like 4500€ for stage II...?

Ill just add 1 thought to this thread. Having been on the performance side of the industry way longer than the dealer side. If you look at cost for hp
$/hp this is by far the absolute best bang for the buck. So much money is wasted on intakes, exhaust, etc. Its alot more $/hp that installing this kit. If i had a sc jag i would be all over this and forget all the rest of the crap out there. Yes its a bigger chunk of money, but its a smile that will stay on your face way longer than a $1000 exhaust, and a few 100 for intakes and filters or tunes. It truely puts the jag in world class performance with the likes of amg, m series etc...and for less $$$$

I have Andre's Twin Screw setup on my car & have to say I wish it was available years ago as I would have saved a lot of money on the other mods I have tried. The difference is night & day.

So far so good, there are a couple now that run with at least 130+ for some time (soon some with higher outputs), so in first instance no need yet to work on the transmission. The 6hp26 seems pretty strong, but please note this is for street driving (so short power runs, with enough time to cool down), prolonged high power track usage is something else again of course, although here the twin-screw will excel as it requires less engine power and produces less heat.

Not yet, however a member has contacted me that could support me in creating the Solidworks drawings (amongst others). Now I need to think about how to proceed as there is some geographical distance involved, but I will seriously consider it.

Default 2007+ xkr

Hi Avos,

I've been following your posts on a number of sites, great info and innovation.

Is there a kit available for the 2007+ XKR? If not, do you have a time frame?

Thanks

I could make one for an aluminum bodied XKR, have actually already done some investigations for it. But to move it further I would need to have a car here, and so far I don’t know anyone close enough to me that would want to go ahead.

Have just been to the dyno to test my current setup. The results where 506 and 512 rwhp. This is about as far as I dare to take it with normal street fuel, I may plan some testing in the future with some racefuel, as there is still room to up the boost, but this is already awsome power.

I started with 315 rwhp (379 HP), and have now 512 rwhp (616 HP), so 237 HP more.

Thanks, although I knew the power already as I have been driving for about 2 months with this setup, the confirmation of the power resulted in a solid grin.
Boost isn't going to tell the full story, only if you would compare it in a like for like setup, but to give some idea it is a little above 20 psi.

Regarding the sudden drop off at the end of the graph, are you running into the speed limiter at 255kph ?

Have no idea actually; it feels very fast though, probably somewhat XKR-S like. ¼ mile racing isn’t as popular on this side of the pond, so no tracks around. I have bought a Gtech measurement device, so all that is left now is some time to learn how to launch without too much wheel spin.
