Default WTB: XJR-100, XJR or SV8 ('04-'06)

There seem to be plenty for sale, but haven't found the right combo/price yet. It's hard to be patient waiting for a Jag,...

And the prices,... craziness all over the place. SV8s of a single year can vary from $20 to $45k. Really????? Looking at some of the dealer pricing makes me realize how easy it can be to overpay for these vehicles. Wow!!

I know of a XJR-100 in my area with 23K miles on it. The guy who owns it wanted to trade it for my XKR-100 and I looked it over. (I have my XKR-100 on CL) Seemed nice and great condition, well maintained, etc. Of course with the 100 you only get the anthracite exterior and this one has red stitching on the black leather interior. If your interested, I know how to get in touch with him.

Yes, I'd be interested. I've been looking for an '04-'06 SV8, but I would consider the previous generation as long as it's an XJR-100. I've watched a few sales of XJR-100s and if he's priced right that would be great.

Thank you!
John

A recent sale was a superb, straight XJR-100 with 32,000 miles that sold for $17k.

Mine has 23,000 miles. I think I will just hang on to it.

Hi Donzi, if you don't need to sell your car I certainly wouldn't especially since you have a low mileage pristine example. I don't think the next two years are going to be very kind to cars or real estate.

The car above has been viewed 1,600+ times and hasn't sold. There's another low mileage car in California and they are asking $31,500 or so,... prices are all over the place.

This is the only XJR 100 I've seen that has actually sold: Jaguar : XJR | eBay

That's a LOT of car for $17k. Had I known it would go so cheaply I would have snagged it. But you are lucky--you've already got one!!! Now I'm stuck debating between 04-05, 06-07 and 08+ SV8s,... Prices on SV8s are all over the place as well. Signs of the times I suppose,...

Donzi, quick question if you don't mind my asking. What has your experience been with the XJR 100? I had an '02 XJR and it was terrific. I'm debating between going with an XJR 100 or an '08+ XJR. Big differences in the cars I know both cosmetically and from an engineering perspective. The '08+ XJRs are $35-45k-ish and benefit from a few years of refinement. Decisions, decisions,...
Thanks,
John

Nothing but good! I can afford a new one, (not bragging, just explaining) I just dont like the body style...
I would not trade it for a newer style...
