I have for sale an xk120 head in original unrestored condition. The part number is C.2242. It came from engine number w3479-8. This was supplied during the summer of 1951. According to Jag literature, this engine number used a C.2242/1 which would not have the joined troughs. I don't understand this discrepancy.

All the bearing caps are attached. However, other standard parts are not all there. No effort has been made to clean the head. There is no visible damage to the ports or the combustion chambers.

This head uses the valve covers with no front studs. I do not have appropriate valve covers.

If you want to enhance the originality of your 1951 XK120, this head would help. Better yet, if your data plate calls for this engine number, this would be an ideal addition.

I've been advised these heads are very rare and that I should ask $2500. However, I will entertain offers nearer to $2000.

I'll deliver within 300 miles of Rochester, NY. Otherwise shipping will be expensive. I believe to prevent scratching the block interface surface, and breaking the front, a proper crate must be constructed, adding to the weight.
