XK8 Tires
Hi-
I might be interested. How much tread is left on them, and do you know the date codes? The dates are stamped into the tire sidewall in an "XX YY" format. The X's are the week of the year and Y's are the last 2 digits of the year.
It's interesting that these are different sizes front/rear. Did you have any trouble with the ABS light coming on when running them?
If you want to send pics, that would be great. I'm in the San Jose area....
Thanks
Andrew

they were on the car when i bought it in 2011 and looked new, so i'm guessing they were purchased new in 2011. I'm in Los Angeles now or i'd check the specifics for you.
They are the stock sizes for the 2003 XK8 with optional wheels - i simply changed brands to Continentals because the continentals were the factory brand and ride smoother.
I put less than 1000 miles on them before i switched to the continentals and had no problem at all (with engine lights or anything else). I was driving back and forth to LA about weekly and wanted a smooth ride, especially on the battle-ground roads around LA. When i was in the Bay area, the v12 evo's were MUCH more fun to drive and the car was easier to drive fast (better handling) than the conti's. the conti's have a softer sidewall (= softer ride but more sway in the corners).
if i was in the Bay area more, i would not have changed. these are popular tires for the xk8's and the guys who have them have posted here that they like them.
If you're serious, let me know by PM and i can give you my phone number and we can arrange for you to see them. they are in storage.
