Default S-Type Parking Mishap

An S-Type got a rather severe nose job courtesy of a too high curbing. I'd watch where you park to avoid this.

Ouch! I bet the actual damage was reversing back. It would have been cheaper getting two trolley jacks, lifting the front of the car and rolling back a few inches.

Upon new ownership of mine, I did something similar, and upon pulling back, It bent my lower fascia so that it showed some visual deflection. I had to correct it with a brace.

It looks like that s-type got hung up on the anchor (rebar) that holds the wheelstop to the asphalt surface, and it wasn't finished exactly flush like its supposed to be. Dang, that's got to ruin your day.

For that very reason, I never pull forward over the curbing.

I dig the Jaguar number plate, though.

I love my front park sensors!!! At first I thought they were a gimmick but the car is low enough that I think they have saved my bumper cover several times over!!!

Yup..lots of them have it.. Not mine though... They are the same little button sensors that are on the rear..

As for the picture... little drastic way to switch to HID lamps....

Wow Carelm that's why I ate those cement things. Something I'll have to get used to as I'm a new owner. Does your car have front sensors?

Mine has them on the rear but not the front. Why de do dat?

I've seen cars with both and it's not just the later years. Of course adding them is probably near to impossible.

How about some old fashioned curb feelers on the front. Might just look like cats wiskers!

Mine has just the rear sensors. I tend to avoid those curbings like the plague for the reason shown in the picture. Jags aren't the only cars that have been de-nosed.

Rear Sensors were stock in 2003 and up. Front sensors were optional (I think) for 2003 and up. Maybe a VDP or something came with the fronts as standard??
